This is another one of my favorite artist, his name is Rudy Francisco. What I practically like about him is his play on words and how he puts them together, he paints in image in your mind like a story teller reading a book. His great use of metaphors make you just want to say "ooohhhh dammnnn!" and give you goose bumps.
You can't help but smile and laugh all the way through.
This, this is fantastic! This here puts imagery into my head. Not only is it comedic, but it has a lot of tension and passion into it. I personally zoned into the video, and payed close attention to the poem, and the detail used in the poem. When I zoned into this poem, I had my own imagination of imagery, and I visioned everything he was saying in his poem. Rudy Francisco mastered poetry, where love and comedy can be used together. This opened up my eyes in a whole new appreciation towards poetry. The fact that he painted pictures in my head; mind blown. Great share!
ReplyDeleteThis is another piece that is highly dependent on how it is read and the internal feelings of the person performing the piece. He uses facial expressions, hand gestures, and stress on words to give emotion to this piece.

ReplyDeleteI have watched many spoken word artist perform, and even though he has the same flow as most of them, he still brought his own thing to it. And you were right, I found myself smiling through his lines. I had to rewind it a couple of times just to hear again some of his lyrics because they were that good!
I completely agree with you. His words just flow so smoothly. This is why I love spoken word, compared to written art, because it really builds an emotional connection between the listener/viewer and the artist. Great example!
